Who am I?

Interesting question!

As a matter of fact I’m following a 21-Day Meditation Challenge (from the Chopra Centre) at the moment  and on the second day the big question in the meditation was “Who am I?”.

During the meditation they say that at the end of the 21 days your answers to this question are going to be very different than the ones you gave on the second day of the meditation challenge.

Well, I’m not there yet so right now there are lots of answers possible.

I am ME to start with.

I’m a woman, a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, an enemy, an employee, a dreamer, an optimist, a spiritual being, an intelectual being, a chef (not a very good one right now), a yogi (still challenged to do my asana’s every day)…  The very appropriate song right here would be one by Alanis Morisette – I’m a bitch, I’m a lover.

But hey, let’s not get into depth right now. I guess you got the clue – I’m a comedian too 🙂

I am just that, a woman!

I was born in Romania and at age 18 the Netherlands became my second home. My mother tongue is Romanian, my second language is Dutch and I understand some German and Italian. If you catch me in a funny mood I’ll even throw a few Spanish or French words at you.

Life took me on many adventures so far, I’m most blessed to have had so many wonderful opportunities.

A new adventure is about to start as me and my family – my american husband and sweet 18 months old daughter – are moving to Fort Collins, Colorado.

That is exciting as hell and scary as hell at the same time. So I’m super-sizing my courage and abilities instead of shrinking my dreams.

I’ve always had a curious nature and eagerness to learn about all kinds of things. If you would ask me what I like, my list is very long, there are so many things in this world to be liked. I like nature, spirituality, books, films, writing, natural cooking, whole foods nutrition, running, hiking, music, dancing, drawing, psychology, yoga, meditation, poetry, philosophy, numbers, astrology, numerology, photography, museums, concerts, manicures and pedicures, silk and cashmere, coffee, oysters, chicken wings, earrings, the color green, smelling the fresh warm air when it rains on a summer day, hugging and tickling my daughter, seeing my husband proud… and the list goes on and on…

I dont even have space here to write about all the things that I like, that I’m curious about, that I want to learn about.

Tapping into the worlds wonders and wisdom is at the core of my existence.

I learn and I discover new things about me every day.

The world and all of you are my teachers!

Namaste

  1. Endo and family, I wish you the best of luck. I honestly do not think that you are going to regret your decision, even if at times I am certain you are going to miss your “old” life but the opportunities and the future seem really bright to me and will bring you a different experience! I am looking forward to talking and seeing more of you and meeting Kelly and Leah! We too are your family :))). All the best! Keep in touch! Xoxoxo
